Are you someone who loves to help others? It's a beautiful thing to do, but sometimes we do it at the expense of ourselves.
In order to help others to grow and succeed, you really have to make sure you take care of yourself first! If you become burnt out and exhausted then you just won't have the bandwidth to help anyone else, and run the risk of becoming angry, frustrated and even bitter.
If you are hard-wired to put everyone else first, it can be really challenging to figure out how to prioritise yourself. Many people feel guilty if they think about their own needs. But if you are going to be able to continue, and hopefully do much more than just survive, you need to get past putting yourself last.
What can help is an empathetic guide, who keeps you accountable and helps you see a way to take care of you first - and to 'put on your oxygen mask before assisting others."
Coaching could be the answer you need to get back on track with your own needs, and to help you keep helping others.
